The Hetnews Photo-Gallery (prototype)

This is a new database gallery of photographs of British Heteroptera. The aim is to make it a searchable reference of quality illustrations of reliably named images, as an identification aid and/or for scientific interest. Images in the prototype are only a sample to illustrate the format. We hope the The Hetnews Photo-Gallery will grow as we receive further images, from people like yourself.

  • Supporting data.
  • Individual copyright declaration to protect your rights.



    • Guidelines for photos
  • Bugs in typical natural habitat are preferred.
  • Mounted bugs showing identification or other details are acceptable.
  • Bugs in unusual habitat, or unusual behaviour, are acceptable.
  • Habitat photos for specific species are also welcome.
  • Supporting data is needed for all images [date, site, county, grid ref., etc.]
